Welcome to year 6.
During school closures, it is important that you spend your time making memories and having fun with your family! Please try to continue with your hard work and education by completing the work we have provided for you in your packs. One idea would be to spend an hour each morning on both English and Maths, like we do in school. Don't forget all of the subscriptions available to you and of course don't stop reading!
It’s important to spend time with family during these uncertain times, you might like to try completing project ideas together. Keep positive and look after each other!

Well done to those of you who have been completing your work online - especially Aaron, Malique, Cara and Joel! Keep working hard! Remember to continue to quiz after you have finished your books, just like you would in school!
Keep checking on our twitter feed for daily challenges and quizzes - which I am sure you are missing and tweet us your answers. @StCeciliascjs.
We are Writers!
We have been writing balanced arguments about the age-old debate, whether school uniforms should be banned. The children have debated and planned their work and have come up with some wonderful pieces of thought-provoking writing. In writing, we use a co-operative feedback technique to help improve and appreciate all our efforts.
We are Musicians!
Year 6-1 have been studying the Mariachi music of Mexico. We have learned how to play and sing 'La Bamba' and we have enjoyed every single minute of it.
We are Mental Health Champions!
World Mental Health Day 2019
The children took part in a BBC live lesson to highlight the importance of children's mental health.
"We have many resources at our disposal in school to help us cope in trying circumstances. We know we can talk to any adult and they will always listen and help us. There's nothing we should worry about." - Year 6-1 student
