Dear Year 3 children & parents,
Please find some short PowerPoints below which provide information about St Cecilia's Catholic Junior School and introduce you to our wonderful staff.
Keep up to date with Class 3-1 by visiting this page frequently. See what we have been up to!
Year 3 will regularly receive homework and it will be mainly online.
English homework - set every Monday and due in on Wednesday.
Maths homework - set every Wednesday and due in on Friday.
Reading - Children should read their books at home regularly. We ask parents or a responsible person to sign reading records. Four signatures a week will earn your child a gold star!
PE - This half term, Year 3's PE days will be Monday and Friday. Please wear PE kits on these days.
Spellings - Spellings are also provided for children to practice throughout the week with weekly spelling tests every Tuesday. Children's spellings will be sent home at the start of each week and can also be found on Spelling Frame.
Links to useful websites are below (Useful Websites). These are used for homework and in the event of learning from home.

We have been comparing different 3-digit numbers using the greater than, less than and equals to symbols (<, >, =).
We have been counting in multiples of 50 and 100.
We have been practicing different jumps and balances in gymnastics.
For our Big Finish, we answered our geography enquiry question 'What impact does tectonic activity have on Earth?'
In groups, we put together PowerPoint presentations to answer this question and demonstrated EVERYTHING we have learnt during our geography lessons! Take a look at our incredible work!
The children also received feedback from a geography expert at Liverpool Hope University. Take a look at the constructive response below!
